  Trekking at Mt. Minya Gonggar (13 days)

The Mountain Minya Gonggar stands on the borders of Kangding, Luding and Jiulong counties 7556 meters over sea Level. It is the highest mountain in Sichuan and the 11th highest mountain in the world . So, Mt. Gongga is a holy mountain with ice prays. Around the Summit, and in area of 292 square kilometers, there are 145 Surrounding ice peaks whose altitudes are above 5,000 meters and 110 glaciers of various sizes. The top of Gongga is hidden in cloud almost all year around as if it were wearing a mysterious veil. Mt. Gongga possesses virgin forests, snow clod mountains. Grassland, lakes, hot springs, waterfalls etc. and is wors hipped by the locals as the supreme holy mountain.

  • D3: Kangding / Liuba/Shangmu Ju, Camping (drive)
  • D4: Trekking from Shangmuju to Zhimei Camp
  • D5: Trekking from Zhimei to Gonggar Monastery Camping
  • D6: Climbing Mt. Gongga Camp
  • D7-Day9: Trekking from Gongar monastery to Lao Yu Lin Village and then drive to Kangding.
  • D10: drive from Kangding to Leshan (visit of Giant Buddha)
  • D11: Drive to Mt. Emei Shan
  • D12: Emei Shan - Chengdu
  • D13: Departure from Chengdu.
